why long row

  • Some music recording rooms are designed to have reverberation. Exactly what you don't want in voice over recording rooms. And music engineers typically add artificial reverb to the singer.

  • Acoustically "dead" recording booth, isolated with no reverb or flutter
  • Specialist microphones to capture clean and articulate speech (match the intended listening environment)
  • Attention to details: vocal anomalies such as mouth clicks, breaths, tongue smacks, paper noise, and air conditioning rumbles.
  • Experience: editing to we do it to a conversational timing, and diction which takes years to master.
  • Match the intended listening environment: telephony recordings are mastered using very little bass, because telephones don't have good bass fidelity. Internet audio is mastered for computer speakers. Audiobooks and museum tours are equalized to sound good through headphones. TV commercials are equalized for TV speakers.
